I went to every olo-gist and specialist that there was. None of them was taking a holistic approach. You should not go outside on smoggy days, but instead stay inside as much as possible, with the windows and doors shut and the air purifiers running until it s over. Smog clears up automatically once the wind picks up or changes direction, or when it rains. Smog can cause brain fog (see entry 162), respiratory problems and other problems for MCS patients and certainly also for people who experience respiratory problems in general. [Pg.168]

A key piece of the chemo/brain connection not addressed by those findings from Noble s studies, however, was the relationship of chemotherapy effects on brain cells with impairments in cognition. A second study further connected the dots between chemotherapy and brain fog. Gordon Winocur, Ph.D., a senior scientist at the Rot-man Research Institute in Ontario, Canada, and his colleagues at Trent University in Ontario, injected mice with a combination of the anti-cancer drugs methotrexate and 5-FU.3... [Pg.88]
