In a plastics compound they create an electrically conductive network in the moulded part. The fibres are available as a continuous bundle and in chopped fibre form. The latter are bound with polymeric binders specific for various resins, forming concentrates of stainless steel fibres, designed for easy dispersion into the matrix. Dry blends or melt compounds with the fibre are also available worldwide. [Pg.146]

Schutt reported that the coke breeze specification and conditions in which the mix is prepared are important factors in determining the optimum operation of the conductive cement mix, whilst further details on the coke breeze asphalt mix composition are given by AndersonConductive concrete mixes, with a polymer binder have also been developed as an anode system specifically for reinforced concrete cathodic protection systems . [Pg.189]

Libraries can also be made from naturally occurring peptides (e.g. melanocortin [30] and somatostatin [31]) and their variants, or be derived from protein-fragments. The former have been employed mainly for the identification of peptide variants with unproved characteristics, and the latter for the identification of antigenic determinants present on targets, for example by selecting for binders to monoclonal antibodies specific for an antigen-fragment peptide library. [Pg.260]

The screening results also clearly indicate that small fragments can be specific binders, even for proteins within the same family. [Pg.233]

Dioctyl Adipate (DOA) or Bis(2-octyi)-Qdipate. Same as Di- 2-ethylhexyl)-adipate, described earlier in this Vol, without giving US Specification requirements and tests. This compd has been used in polyisobutylene binders intended for expl and pro pint compns. One of the rocket proplnts. Unit No 547, using DOA is described in conf Propellant Manual SP1A/M2 (1969)... [Pg.292]

This ref pertains to a US patent for a nondestructive testing method and app for determining the presence of voids, cracks or discontinuities in solid substances by the use of radioactive gases as a tracer. Although developed specifically for use with large solid proplnt rocket motors, composed mainly of active ingredients such as ammonium perchlorate imbedded in an inert binder, the method is claimed to be applicable to other solids as well... [Pg.129]

The specific and detailed submission requirements for a NDA are found in Required Specifications for FDAs IND, NDA, ANDA, Drug Master File Binders, and Title 21 Chapter I Part 314 Applications for FDA Approval to Market a New Drug or an Antibiotic Drug. Three copies are required an... [Pg.121]

Properties of the HDA boards prepared from the activated substrate may be compared to the phenol-formaldehyde (PF) boards prepared using 6 resin solids. Comparison may also be made to the property requirements from commercial standard CS 236-66, type 2 medium density (below 0.8 g/cc), Class 1 particleboard fabricated using durable and highly moisture resistant and heat resistant binders suitable for interior and certain exterior applications. Specifications of this class of particleboard, generally prepared from PF resins, are MOR, minimum = 2,500 psi M0E, minimum =... [Pg.182]

Binder and/or lubricant selection depends on many considerations which are specific for the particular application. The additives must be compatible with the material to be agglomerated and the proposed uses of the product. For example, for pharmaceutical or food applications no toxic materials can be selected and for agglomeration of metal-bearing dusts intended for use in steel making sulfur-containing additives are normally prohibited. Many such limitations may be defined for specific materials and applications. [Pg.421]
