Low concentrations of highly polar (functional) end-groups are still most commonly determined by titration. When applied for this purpose, titration is a simple and reliable technique which often outperforms complicated instrumental methods. In order to obtain the number of end-groups per molecule, the number-average molar mass must also be measured (see Section 7.3). [Pg.170]
