The combinations of size classes and automation levels (cf. Fig. 18 for an example) describe the set of plants from which the model can choose when setting up new plants. As shown in the example not all theoretical combinations of capacity classes and degrees of automation might be feasible and additional, location-specific restrictions might apply. For expansions of existing plants the choice is restricted to adding production lines that fit into the production environment already in place.

Flex-link systems also allow a different level of automation at each of the assembly stations. Depending on the respective assembly tasks, the automation level can be stipulated according to technical and economic factors. Abstract. This paper presents the importance of obtaining the application of a maintenance technique that satisfies in a precise way the different needs of the production process, independently of its technical complexity or difficulty of access to the industrial plant facilities. This is the case of the plants with a high automation level or wind farms located in remote places with low accessibility. Besides this, the studied situations have in common the low level of physical operation in its production process.

The Ingedrive MVlOO vector control loops and vector modulation techniques allow an accurate speed control with a very low noise and stress in the motor. The drive operates in speed control mode by receiving the speed reference from the hoist automation level through a fieldbus communication interface. A torque bias compensation (feed-forward action) is also applied for the drive during the shaft starting and acceleration process where the torque reference is calculated at the hoist automation level.
