Attributes properties

Many books and articles have been published about the shady and nefarious activities of the CIA in relation to LSD, supposedly contemporaneously with our own officially approved medical research. I have read several of them and it is distressing how often our clinical research program has been confused with the CIA s covert use of LSD. Some authors do not even refer to the drugs we studied by their correct names, and attribute properties to them that are quite fanciful. A primary purpose of this book, therefore, is to provide truthful, comprehensive, accurate information about the Edgewood Arsenal medical research program, and what we actually learned from our studies.

Schnieder (2006) argues that this thesis is false, because there is a difference in understanding conditions between sentences explicitly attributing properties and those that rely on the predication-mode . For present purposes, this difference does not matter aU that is required is the assumption that the inference is correct. 

Using these and similar operations, we are, at least in principle, able to transform any expression that employs the predication-mode to attribute properties into expressions that expUcitly attribute properties only. In order to do so appropriately, these operations should be applied to simple constituents of expressions it would miss the point to treat the predicate has instances which have exactly three constituents, two of which are hydrogen and one of which is oxygen as a simple predicate, expressing a unary property, although it does. Rather, we should apply the operations to constituents that lack (semantically relevant) syntactical parts. Thus, they should be applied to simple syntactic constituents - constituents which themselves do not contain predicates or terms designating properties.

Thousands of coatings and paint products are sold for industrial applications, making it impossible to memorize their names, attributes, properties, and limitations. Therefore, a classification method is needed based on some similarities. The most common method of classification is to refer to the chemical attribute— most often the resin type— that is unique to a group of coatings. This is the most useful classification system because coatings of the same generic type have similar handling and performance properties. This is based on the binder (resin) used in the formulation.
