Table 10.4 lists the physical properties of six alkanolamines. The eth-anolamines and monoisopropanolamine are clear liquids at room temperatures while the diisopropanolamine and triisopropanolamine are low melting-point solids at room temperature (m.p. 44 C). All of the products have a characteristic mild amine odor and are very hygroscopic in nature. The alkanolamines all have high boiling points and flash points as well as very high viscosities.
