Odour measurements in agriculture have been conducted by the Institute of Agricultural Engineering for a number of years. During this time various olfactometers have been used. It was found that the airflow of the olfactometer is one of the major parameters effecting the results. Futhermore frequent calibration of the olfactometers in use is advisable.
