On the basis of the diagnostic plan, mentees can put together their own PDF. In this respect it is important to allow mentees the freedom to take on the responsibility for this process. Try to resist the temptation to point to needs and goals in an attempt to speed up the process. This is vital if you want to send out consistent messages after all, the learning relationship is supposed to centre around the mentee s agenda, and from start to finish the mentee ought to be in control. To date, most approved protein-based drugs are for therapeutic or replacement therapies. They are recombinant versions of natural proteins such as insulin and erythropoietin. Their characteristics and functions are relatively well defined and known. The next phase of biopharmaceuticals, such as antibodies and vaccines, is more complex and requires more tests and characterizations. The initial objective of the search was an anthelmintic with properties radically different from those of known anthelmintics.
