Adhesive line

In another, relatively new, development, a high purity thermal carbon black was used as a component of an adhesive lining used in the construction of solid-fuel rocket motors and space shuttle motors. 

Fillers are solid inclusions, often mineral-based. They can be used to reduce cost, improve cohesive strength, reduce contraction at the adhesive line as the adhesive solidifies, and to help in controlling viscosity. Commonly used fillers, with their major contribution to adhesive properties, are listed in Table 6.3. 

Ail wooden matches are packaged in rectangular boxes either of the the larger size for kitchen matches or in the penny box for safety matches, which in Europe are made from wood veneer, but in this country from thin cardboard. Depending on the type of match, the boxes are either provided with a striking strip like the book matches or with a plain "sand-line consisting of an adhesive line on which abrasive material is superficially applied or (lately) a homogeneous mixture is used. 

Envelopes, for which the selectivity of RF energy heats and dries only the adhesive lines, leaving the bulk of the paper cool and flat.

In [366] an attempt was made to define the adhesion component under the combined action of normal compression and shear on the contacting metal surfaces. The cut-off strength [394] of the adhesive line under normal load is assiuned as the initial dependence ... 

A series of nitrile-phenolics, e.g., J-01, J-02, J-03, J-04, J-15, JX-9, JX-10, KH-506, were developed for aerospace structural adhesives (19). In addition, an epoxy-phenolic, J-44-1 (20) was supplied to adhere polyimide (Nomex) film to honeycomb structures. Thus, their structural adhesive line appears to be quite complete. 

Uses cross-linker in heat-cured polyester paints, such as laminated sheetings, printed circuits, tools, inks, adhesives, lining materials etc. ABCD... 

Solid sheet linings can also be applied either as an adhesive-bonded lining or a loose-fitting lining. Adhesive-bonded sheet linings on steel substrates consist of fabric backed sheets bonded to steel vessel walls with neoprene or epoxy based adhesive. Linings may be applied in the field or in the shop. Joints are heat welded using a rod of the same polymer as the sheets. 

The flow rate of the adhesive through the applicator is dependent upon the fluid pressure in the adhesive line therefore by varying the pressure in the adhesive line the flow rate can be altered.
