Use the colors, brush strokes, line, and technique of that artist to create your painting. Acrylic, oil, watercolors, or poster paints can be used. When you re finished, post your painting on a wall. Classmates should guess what artist you are imitating and explain the reason for their guesses. [Pg.336]

Acrylated oil epoxy acrylates These epoxy acrylates are essentially epoxidized soybean oil acrylate. These resins have low viscosity, low cost, and good pigment wetting properties. They produce relatively flexible coatings. Acrylated oil epoxy acrylates are used mainly in pigmented coatings or to reduce cost. [Pg.83]

Epoxy acrylate oligomers that are used in uv/EB curing are very low-viscosity systems with high vapor pressures. Within this group of oligomers, there are several major subclassifications aromatic difunctional epoxy acrylates, acrylated oil epoxy acrylate, novolac epoxy acrylate, aliphatic epoxy acrylate, and miscellaneous epoxy acrylates. Characteristics of these various classes are summarized in Table 4.8. [Pg.84]

When the above principles were applied to acrylic adhesives, a new type of acrylic adhesive was created. Corresponding to hydrogel, it is called oil-gel. The acrylic oil-gel adhesive is now widely applied for bandages, dressings, and TDS. The schematic microstructures of hydrogel adhesives, SIS adhesives, and acrylic oil-gels are shown in Table 3. [Pg.2929]

The photographs in Fig. 2 show the stratum cor-neum cells removed by the PSA after 0.5 hr of application to the forearm. Acrylic oil-gel has a formulation as described above, whereas original acrylic is the same acrylic adhesive without IPM and cross-linker. It is clear that on removal, substantially fewer cells were removed by the acrylic oil-gel compared with the original acrylic. [Pg.2929]

Many glycol ethers have found extensive industrial applications as solvents. These are also known by the trade name Cellosolve. These compounds have unique solvent properties and are used as solvents for cellulose esters, resins, acrylics, oils, greases, dyes, paints, varnishes, and many other materials. [Pg.410]

Acrylated oils can be obtained by converting the triglyceride double bonds into an epoxide. Afterwards, the epoxy groups are opened with acrylic acid to get hydroxy acrylated oils (74,77-79). [Pg.118]

Acrylated oils can also he blended with reactive diluents such as styrene to improve processability and afford suitable thermosets and composites for structural applications [27, 28] hy changing the acrylation level of the triglyceride and by... [Pg.40]

Acrylated oils are a special type of epoxy acrylates. They are formed from epoxi-dized oils such as linseed oil, and (meth)acrylic acid. [Pg.891]
