A-Tell

Poly(ethylene terephthalate), the predominant commercial polyester, has been sold under trademark names including Dacron (Du Pont), Terylene (ICI), Eortrel (Wellman), Trevira (Hoechst-Celanese), and others (17). Other commercially produced homopolyester textile fiber compositions iaclude p oly (1,4-cyc1 oh exa n e- dim ethyl en e terephthalate) [24936-69-4] (Kodel II, Eastman), poly(butylene terephthalate) [26062-94-2] (PBT) (Trevira, Hoechst-Celanese), and poly(ethylene 4-oxyben2oate) [25248-22-0] (A-Tell, Unitika). Other polyester homopolymer fibers available for specialty uses iaclude polyglycoHde [26124-68-5] polypivalolactone [24937-51-7] and polylactide [26100-51-6],... 

The material was marketed as a fibre in 1968 jointly by the Japanese companies Unitika and Mitsubishi as A-Tell. The polymer is about 41% crystalline, and has a specific gravity of 1.34, a of 223°C and a Eg of 65°C. The fibres are somewhat silk-like in character. 

Complexes of O-donors are relatively rare, explicable by the soft nature of the divalent ions. A telling indication is that sulphoxide ligands will only bind through O if steric effects make S-bonding impractical. The most important complexes are diketonates and carboxylates (for the aqua ions see section 3.5). 

They tend to adopt a telling style that creates dependency and promotes little initiative and problem-solving on part of the mentee (Brounstein, 2000).

The capacity factor tells us where the peaks elute relative to VQ. The separation factor (a) tells us where the peaks elute relative to each other. It is defined, for two peaks, as the ratio of the capacity factors, with the larger one in the numerator.

Kotlikoff Susan Wray, I was impressed by your comment that you have no caffeine responses. One of the things that differs between different smooth muscle tissues is the state of expression of RyR2, which is the cardiac isoform that is also found in some smooth muscles, although not all. RyR2 is more sensitive to caffeine than RyR3, which is more ubiquitously expressed and has lower sensitivity. This may be a telling statement about the functional role of the RyR in the tissue that you are looking at.

A comparative smdy of great practical value has been carried out between several Ni-based diffusion barrier properties. Those were produced by means of electroless deposition from nickel sulfate and nickel sulfamate deposition solutions (73). It was concluded on the basis of Auger depth profiling (see Section 13.3) that Ni(P) sulfamate has much better diffusion barrier properties than Ni(P) sulfate. This conclusion is a telling example of the influence of anions on the physical properties of electro-chemically deposited metals.

Another rare kind of 6-electron ionic cycloaddition is that between a pentadienyl cation and an alkene. A telling example is the key step 2.66 — 2.67 in a synthesis of gymnomitrol 2.68, where the nature of the pericyclic step is heavily disguised, but all the more remarkable for that. Ionization of the acetal gives the cationic quinone system 2.66. That this is a pentadienyl cation can be seen in the drawing of a canonical structure on the left, with the components of the pericyclic cycloaddition emphasized in bold. Intramolecular [4+2] cycloaddition takes place, with the pentadienyl cation as the 4-electron component and the cyclopentene as the 2-electron component. Th is reaction is an excellent example of how a reaction can become embedded in so much framework that its pericyclic nature is obscured.
