Wind piping layout

Three factors strongly influence the effect any vapor barrier can have on cloud dilution. First, the release scenario, including the rate and duration of release, and the wind direction, will influence the barrier s effectiveness. Second, site layout, such as the location of process units and the equipment and buildings in them (e.g., tanks, towers, and pipe racks located upwind of the release point), can influence local air currents and the direction the release will take. Third, the height of the barrier and its relationship to other equipment and the source must be considered. [Pg.110]

The temperature of these 4 driving motors are presented with bilateral symmetry, front-rear unevenly distribution pattern which can be seen from the simulation results (Table 4). This is because the symmetrical layout of the pipe to the motor, the same flow resistance of branch pipe and the same water flow capacity. So, the cooling water temperature and end-winding temperature is the same for the two side motors. However, the flow resistance of the water channel is caused by the friction loss and local loss of the pipe, for the long distance of pipe from water tank to the motors mounted on the rear body of ADT, the flow resistance of rear branch is higher than the front branch. The flow of the rear branch pipeline will be small than the front branch which will cause the temperature of the two rear motors are higher than that of front motors. [Pg.341]

There are several other batch processes. Vacuum bag and resin injection techniques have been used for specialist application but these are not used extensively in commercial practice. Centrifugal casting has been used for the manufacture of pipe sections but this is again a specialised area. Filament winding (Fig. 3) is essentially a batch process but by good engineering and well planned layout, pipes and tanks made by the filament winding process can be produced... [Pg.40]

Plant design and layout Predominant wind directions can dramatically affect the compressor fouling type and rates. Orientation and elevation of air inlet suctions must be considered together with the location of air/water cooling towers in a combined cycle plant, the possibihty of exhaust gas recirculation into the air inlet, orientation of exhaust pipes from lube oil tank vapor extractors, as well as with other local and specific sources of contaminants such as location of highways, industries, seashores, etc. [Pg.771]
