Guide bar n. A mechanism on a warp-knitting machine that directs warp threads to the latch needles. 

The tubular vascular graft is generally knitted on a double needle bar Raschel warp knitting machine of fine gauge ( 56), preferably with a tricot stitch. The needle beds are straight and occupy the width of the machine. The machine has a number of guide bars, which move relative to the needles to facilitate interlooping of adjacent yarns as the fabric is knitted. The number of bars can be as many as 20, but the usual number is between 4 and 10.

Needle-punched warp-knitted nonwoven material serves us as a further example of how important the quality of reclaimed fibres is. This material is used to substitute for the components of polyurethane foam in laminated composites. The purely textile composite resulting allows one to recycle both the production waste generated and the composite structure itself at the end of its life (see Chapter 3). To make sure a nonwoven containing 40% of reclaimed fibres can be well processed on a warp-knitting machine and shows full functionality when used as a laminated composite for a motor vehicle seat, the reclaimed fibre used needs to meet the following requirements ... 

Both weft and warp knitting machines are able to construct tubular structures. Although circular weft knitting machines can only be used in producing single tubes, flat weft knitting machines with two needle beds and double-needle bar Raschel machines are able to produce single, bifurcated and multibranched tubes. 

The material mns within a multiaxial warp knitting machine continuously in the direction of production. As a result, the return of sensor threads opposite to the direction of production is not possible.
