Vibration equipment

All vibration equipment shall eonform to API 670. The probes shall be properly loeked to prevent movement during operation. Conneetions from oseillator/demodulators to the Purehaser s wiring shall terminate at suitable terminal bloeks loeated within junetion boxes mounted at the edge of the unit or baseplate. The probes shall be externally removable and adjustable without unit shutdown. 

The vibration equipment available is probably best approached by discussing the basic sensors and what they do or don t do. Because monitors now run from A to Z, the reader can obtain vendor literature or dig into tlie multitude of papers and articles on the monitoring, hardware, software, and, in some cases, philosophy of instrumentation.

Roller compacted concrete (RCC) is a dry concrete consolidated by the use of external vibrating rollers. Its initial consistency makes the main difference in comparison with ordinary concretes - its conventional slump value is equal to zero. The moisture content should be high enough that mixing is possible and the appropriate distribution of cement is feasible, but it should be sufficiently low to support heavy rolling and vibrating equipment.
