I lament the disappearance from the curriculum of almost every vestige of nontechnical content. We expect chemists to get along with their co—workers, but deny them contact with the social sciences we expect them to have serviceable communications skills, but fail to provide them time for effective study of any language and literature - even their own we hope for flexibility that will permit them to serve indiistry outside of the laboratory, but teach them nothing of economics, organizational behavior, or the world of commerce. Associations between entity types are referred to as relationships. These are the links that exist between the data entities and tie together the system s data. An association usually means that an event has occurred or that some natmal linkage exists between the entity types. For example, an order is associated with an invoice, or a customer is associated with accounts receivable instances. Usually the relationship is named with a meaningful verb phase that describes the relationship between the entities. There is not a best adhesive for universal environments. For example, an adhesive providing maximum resistance to acids, in all probability, will provide poor resistance to bases. It is difficult to select an adhesive that will not degrade in two widely differing chemical environments.
