Uniqueness checking

Uniqueness checking and sample identifier generation Although different organizations have different rules of sample identifier generation, a... [Pg.49]

System makes sure all required data are entered (see Compound Registration Required and Optional Data Supplement). System performs uniqueness check against the database (see Uniqueness Check Business Rules Supplement). If the structure is unique, System registers the compound with a new sample identifier (see Sample Identifier Generation Rules Supplement). If it is not unique, System displays the compound to be registered and the hit compounds from uniqueness search and prompts die Chemist to resolve (see Resolve Compounds Use Case Spec). [Pg.55]

Registration Service Objects that are responsible for uniqueness checking, compound sample identifier generation, and persisting compound data into the chemical database. [Pg.71]

The standard requires the supplier to define the process employed for the calibration of inspection, measuring, and test equipment, including details of equipment type, unique identification, location, frequency of checks, check method, acceptance criteria, and the action to be taken when results are unsatisfactory. [Pg.414]

CFCs have been widely used as cleaning solvents, as they are nonflammable and their toxicity is low. Now, flammable solvents are coming back into favor. A news item from a manufacturer described "a new ozone-friendly cleaning process for the electronics industry, which "uses a unique hydrocarbon-alcohol formulation. It did not remind readers that the mixture is flammable and that they should check that their equipment and procedures are suitable. [Pg.71]

In order to check whether the occurrence of the Rieske-type sequence motif is unique for the assimilatory nitrite reductase from Bacillus subtilis, the sequences of other assimilatory nitrite reductases were searched for the presence of the four putative ligands of Rieske-type clusters. A well-conserved sequence pattern... [Pg.92]

A more compact alphabet for this situation is one for which we create a unique symbol for each batch type, and allow the multiple occurrence of this symbol to stand for scheduling the batch type more than once. The feasibility predicate would be suitably modified to check to see when enough of the type had been added to a given branch. This gives the... [Pg.277]

System (1) is of the same type as other systems which have recently appeared in the literature on allelopathic competitions (Hsu and Waltman, 1998, Braselton and Waltman, 2001, Fergola et al., 2004). Usually the mathematical analysis of such systems, first requires one to check if their solutions satisfy the properties of global existence in the future, positivity, boundedness and uniqueness. Subsequently, it often happens that, due to the difficulties of integration of these systems, we look for special biologically meaningful solutions such as steady-states or periodic... [Pg.58]

Of course one may employ automated library searches ( library percent reports ) to check for compound identities, but algorithms for library matching are not infallible, and mass spectral libraries are not exhaustive, thus some compounds of interest will likely not be identified. Additional dilemmas are presented by mere reliance on retention times and library percent reports to ascertain the presence of common or unique peaks from among multiple mass spectral data files. As illustrated in Table 2.1, the TICs from the GC-MS of urine from four elephants evidence a peak at essentially the same retention time, but the library search results are inconclusive as to their common identity or lack thereof. As will be seen below, our novel macros can assist in making such decisions for a large number of peaks. [Pg.30]

The analysis of a full tilt series of 2H NMR spectra not only allows the determination of the unique bond angle for a deuteriated methyl group, but also provides an internal check for the consistency of the spectral interpretation. In particular, simulations provide a means for the analysis of line-broadening effects, which arise from the sample mosaic spread as well as the intrinsic line width of the nuclear transition and instrumental factors. When line shapes are fitted to a full tilt series of spectra in a concerted manner and are also compared with the powder spectrum of an unoriented sample, the different contributions can be discerned. In that way an intrinsic line width of around 2 kHz is found for the spectra shown here, together with a mosaic spread between 8° and 10° for the three samples. [Pg.158]

The HF tester is a commercial safety tool for sensing whether an unidentified liquid contains HF [2], It shows in an exemplary way how the electrochemical properties of a silicon electrode, namely its I-V curve in HF, can be applied for sensing. The ability to dissolve an anodic oxide layer formed on silicon electrodes in aqueous electrolytes under anodic bias is a unique property of HF. HF is therefore the only electrolyte in which considerable, steady-state anodic currents are observed, as shown schematically in Fig. 3.1. This effect has been exploited to realize a simple but effective safety sensor, which allows us to check within seconds if a liquid contains HF. This is useful for safety applications, because HF constitutes a major health hazard in semiconductor manufacturing, as discussed in Section 1.2. [Pg.219]

Briefly we can say that, because of the nature of the search for retrons algorithm, the program finds the retron needed for disconnection with the Diels-Alder reaction twelve times, due to the symmetry of the cyclohexane molecule. With the option "Unique numbering" activated, the program is able to check whether the precursor about to be shown has already been shown. If it has, its display is suppressed. [Pg.469]

Imagine you are writing a paper about carbon nanotubes (CNTs). In your Introduction section, you want to summarize some unique properties of CNTs that are reported in the literature. You have listed these in your notes, given below. Convert your notes into one or two concise sentences for your Introduction, grouping related items with one of the patterns described above. Check your sentence(s) for proper punctuation and parallelism. [Pg.232]

This utopian vision is tempered by a system of checks and balances to assure that the power to create these new money-forms will not lie in the hands of the people, but rather, will be under the control of central banks (which profit from the increased dematerialization of money). New money-forms will require a fiduciary relationship, and in the past, this kind of relationship was inherent in the uniqueness of gold or other precious metals and/or the guarantee offered by third parties such as banks. The difference between the undeniable materiality of gold and the dema-terialized quality of cybercash seems to be of paramount importance. Yet... [Pg.168]
