In the fall of 1976 I had a call from a friend, Sid Benson, who, after a decade at the Stanford Research Institute, just returned to the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. He invited me for a visit, telling me about USC s plans to build up seleeted programs, ineluding chemistry. Hydrazine sulfate [10034-93-2] N2H4 H2SO4, originally advanced by the Syracuse Cancer Research Institute for treatment of cancerous cachexia and tumor inhibition (221), now has Investigational New Dmg (IND) status in the United States. Clinical evaluations are under way at various institutions such as Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (222) and the Mayo Clinic. Because the sheer magnitude of the tests performed in laboratory diagnosis is so great, e.g., over 3,600 tests in the alphabetical index of the laboratory tests offered by UCLA Medical Center [4], a single example will be illuminated to demonstrate a particular use of biologically derived diagnostics in home pregnancy test.

James Janesick has been the most influential person in CCD community for many years, not only making significant technological developments, but also playing the role of lead evangelist.
