Description The ATOFINA/UOP Olefin Cracking Process was jointly developed by Total Petrochemicals (formerly ATOFINA) and UOP to convert low-value C4 to C8 olefins to propylene and ethylene. The process features fixed-bed reactors operating at temperatures between 500°C and 600°C and pressures between 1 and 5 bars gauge. [Pg.182]

Commercial plants Total Petrochemicals operate a demonstration unit that was installed in an affiliated refinery in Belgium in 1998. Engineering is in progress for the first commercial unit. [Pg.182]

Applications The Total Petrochemicals/UOP Olefin Cracking Process(OCP) is used to primarily produce propylene from to Cg olefins supplied by steam crackers, refineries and/or methanol-to-olefins (MTO) plants. [Pg.251]

Commercial plants IN EOS (formerly Hydro) operate a demonstration unit that was installed in Norway in 1995. Total Petrochemicals operates a semi-commercial demonstration unit that was installed in Belgium in 2009. [Pg.253]

LLDPEs from tubular or cascade loop reactor have fewer LCB and broader MWD than autoclave products. Modeling of an industrial slurry-phase olefin catalytic polymerization of two loop reactors in series was carried out by U. Thessaloniki and Total Petrochemicals... [Pg.1637]

Styrene-butadiene block copolymers (SBC) with a high (70-85 %) styrene content are commercially produced and marketed as transparent, stiff, and tough thermoplastic resins under the trade names of Styrolux (Styrolution), K-Resin (Chevron-Phillips), Finaclear (Total petrochemical), and Clearene (Denka-Kaguku). Unlike other more elastomeric types of styrene-butadiene block copolymers, the rigid SBC resins contain only <25 % polybutadiene rubber content. Structurally, these SBC polymers are composed of polystyrene (S) and polybutadiene (B) blocks, linked together in an unsymmetrical star-block [(S-B)x] structure. [Pg.1764]
