Transition technologies

Every time technology transitions, a different set of capabilities and limitations is offered. Eor instance, software may be available on one platform but not another. Each technology change requires careful planning and project management to ensure that there is no disruption to the organization and no loss of data.

There are several other activities in this phase beyond measurement. One should ensure that the implementation conditions for the product or system are consistent with the assumed conditions upon which the design is based.
