The management concepts focus on the primary activities in the value chain. Management concepts for support functions such as human resources, information technology or corporate finance are out-of-scope in this work. The integration of support management concepts into value chain management is an area for further research. 

Midterm (1-10 years) scope is specific to the resource or resources defined in the plan—specific resources may include human resources, information/technology resources, financial resources, capital and facilities, and others viewpoint is internal—the resource needs of the organization. 

This has been a topical issue in Madagascar recently (data exchange, benefit sharing, use of natural resources, information technology and communications, etc.), but to date, no regulations have been adopted.

The process, in general, and the collection of up-to-date pertinent information, in particular, requires the expenditure of certain resources and the active participation of designated hospital staff in networks providing technology assessment information. Companies often outsource a portion of the effort with little or no strategic benefit. Few corporate standards are in place as divisions and business units set their own directions. The architecture is usually product based. If there is a corporate architecture, it is from a centralized team and is often an academic exercise that is little used.
