Tactile warnings

If tactile warnings are used, the technical specifications should conform with ISO 11683 1997 Tactile warnings of danger-Requirements . 

Packaging of preparations is regulated by this schone. Certain categories of preparation sold to the public have to be fitted with child-resistant fastenings and a tactile warning of danger. 

Tactile warning devices (TWDs) A small raised triangle applied to a package intended to alert the blind and visually impaired to the fact that they are handling a container of a dangerous chemical. 

The packaging of certain dangerous chemicals (e.g. those labelled toxic , very toxic or corrosive must be fitted with child-resistant closures, or tactile danger warnings (for the blind) if sold to the public. 

She advocates determining your style and preferences first (refer to the earlier section of this chapter on self-reflection and analysis) and then considering whether you prefer visual/tactile options (such as paper-based calendars and appointment books) or linear/digital options (such as computer programs and PDAs). She also warns that no system is perfect. Whatever your choice, Morgenstern recommends that you customize it, use it to its fullest, and accept its imperfections. 

Some must have tactile danger warning to alert the blind and partially sighted to the danger. This is often a raised triangle.
