Suppository Filling Machine

Perform general operational controls verification testing. 

Verify that all safety devices of the suppository filling machine are operating as specified in the manual. 

Verify that recommended lubricants are used during machine operation. 

Verify that all lubricants such as oil and grease are kept in clean, sealed containers so that no dust or moisture penetrates. 

Perform controller security challenges to verify that specified parameters cannot be altered without appropriate supervisory control.

Add item 3 slowly to the mixer containing mass while stirring. Mix for 20 minutes. Immediately transfer the hot mass to the heated storage vessel or heated vessel of suppository filling machine. 

In a suppository filling machine the effectiveness of the mixing process depends on the construction of the stirring device (see Sect. 28.7.2). 

A suppository filling machine enables a serial filling of large quantities of suppositories. The apparatus and its use are described in Sect. 28.7.2. A manually operated machine keeps the mass automatically homogeneous. The tap is operated manually as is the movement of the plastic suppository strips. An automatic machine fills the plastic molds automatically and often transits them too. The filling process of a suppository filling machine always has to be validated. The content of both the first and the last suppositories may not meet requirements. 

For filling from a suppository filling machine the pouring temperature is chosen just above the start of the solidification range.
