Supplier Forum

A year earlier the GAMP Forum supported the formation of the Supplier Forum dedicated to the needs of suppliers. It was run along the same lines as the GAMP Forum and eventually became an official part of the GAMP Forum in 2001. Guidance materials produced specifically by suppliers for suppliers included user specifications, testing, and receiving customer audits.

ISO 9000 is not a statutory requirement and neither is certification, hence certification is voluntary. However, suppliers may be under pressure to obtain registration to ISO 9001, ISO 9002, or ISO 9003 in order to tender for contracts. Within the ISO 9000 certification scheme, the certification industry is regulated by accreditation bodies. An International Accreditation Forum (lAF) attempts to harmonize accreditation practices world-wide through ISO Guide 61. The accreditation bodies authorize certification bodies to conduct certification to prescribed standards - a process that is called accreditation. The accreditation body performs witness audits and desk audits of the certification body to ensure compliance with the conditions of accreditation. 

The U.K. Pharmaceutical Industry Computer Systems Validation Forum (PICSVF — also known as the U.K. FORUM) was established in 1991 to facilitate the exchange of validation knowledge and to promote the development of a supplier guide for computer systems validation projects. Suppliers were struggling to imderstand and implement the various interpretations and requirements of GxP presented by companies. The guide was a collaborative effort between pharmaceutical companies and the U.K. MCA supplier organizations were not directly involved.

There is currently a very large amount of information on available chemicals on the web. This information is relevant for both laboratory-scale synthesis and for larger scale preparations, however, it is more easily searched for laboratory synthesis. This volume contains papers presented in the Symposium on Advances in Flue Gas Desulfurization at the ACS National Meeting in Atlanta on March 29-30, 1981. The symposium was organized to provide a forum for fundamental work in flue gas desulfurization, rather than a forum for commercial process suppliers and users. Therefore, it differed substantially from symposia on flue gas desulfurization sponsored every 18 months by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. 

Staged a Technology Forum at the headquarters facility, bringing fuel cell industry suppliers and consultants together with CaFCP members for business-to-business discussions - the 2001 event featured more than 30 exhibitors and 300 attendees.
