Hydrolysis. The hydrolysis of dialkyl and monoalkyl sulfates is a process of considerable iaterest commercially. Successful alkylation ia water requires that the fast reaction of the first alkyl group with water and base be minimised. The very slow reaction of the second alkyl group results ia poor utilisation of the alkyl group and gives an iacreased organic load to a waste-disposal system. Data have accumulated siace 1907 on hydrolysis ia water under acid, neutral, and alkaline conditions, and best conditions and good values for rates have been reported and the subject reviewed (41—50).

Organometallic chemistry is currently reviewed element by element in at least three independent publications. The first in-depth review appeared as a single volume in 1965 entitled Annual Survey of Organometallic Chemistry (Bl). This covered the literature of the previous year. After three annual issues the publication became multi-authored and was incorporated into Organometallic Chemistry Reviews as Series B (as distinct from Series A, subject reviews). In January 1973, the surveys became part of the Journal of Organometallic Chemistry. At the time of writing, coverage is complete for all elements to the end of 1973, except Si (1970) Be, Ca, Sr, Ba, Si, Pb (1971) Si (1972) and Li, Na, K, Ge, Pb, As, Sb, Bi (1973).

The interest in polyphosphazenes may be reflected by the number of papers that have appeared on this subject. Metal carbonyl clusters on supports are important to the subject reviewed here because they are the best known precursors of structurally simple supported metal clusters, which are formed by decarbonylation of the precursors. The routes for preparation of molecularly or ionically dispersed metal carbonyl clusters on zeolite and metal oxide supports include syntheses from mononuclear precursors on the support surface [5,9]. Ship-in-a-bottle syntheses of this type take place when the clusters formed in zeolite cages are trapped there because they are too large to fit through the apertures. Where HIPAA requirements are combined with the informed consent requirements, the entire document needs to be reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The Office of Civil Rights as well as the FDA s General Counsel, as of April 7, 2003, had confirmed that IRB approval of subject authorization for use or disclosure of protected health information required by the HIPAA privacy rule is only required if the authorization language is to be part of the IRB approved informed consent document for human subjects review.
