Standards REACH standard

At X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF) of samples of the limited weight is perspective to prepare for specimens as polymeric films on a basis of methylcellulose [1]. By the example of definition of heavy metals in film specimens have studied dependence of intensity of X-ray radiation from their chemical compound, surface density (P ) and the size (D) particles of the powder introduced to polymer. Have theoretically established, that the basic source of an error of results XRF is dependence of intensity (F) analytical lines of determined elements from a specimen. Thus the best account of variations P provides a method of the internal standard at change P from 2 up to 6 mg/sm the coefficient of variation describing an error of definition Mo, Zn, Cu, Co, Fe and Mn in a method of the direct external standard, reaches 40 %, and at use of a method of the internal standard (an element of comparison Ga) value does not exceed 2,2 %. Experiment within the limits of a casual error (V changes from 2,9 up to 7,4 %) has confirmed theoretical conclusions. [Pg.104]

This method is normally faster than the other one (see Basic Protocol) and usually takes 24 to 45 hr to reach equilibrium between salt and standard, or standard and sample. [Pg.60]

As more bioassays for assessment of the liquid (porewater, elutriate) and solid (whole sediment) compartments of sediments reach standardization, future investigations will, however, have to determine their performance and adequacy. While the present battery employed in the work presented herein is undeniably useful, it may yet be optimized with other liquid-phase tests and likely be supplemented with direct-contact bioassays capable of estimating the toxic potential of contaminants more closely bound to sediments. [Pg.299]

It will be clear that neither Seubert s nor Seybold s results are of the high standard reached in many modern atomic weight researches. Further determinations of this atomic weight are urgently needed, the value in current use being stated more precisely than is justified by the evidence at present available. [Pg.212]

The normal boiling point of a liquid is defined as the temperature at which the vapor pressure reaches standard atmospheric pressure, 101.325 kPa. The change in boiling point with pressure may be calculated from the representation of the vapor pressure by the Antoine Equation,... [Pg.2339]

The whole development described above had coal as a basis, Germany s only raw material. There is no doubt that the standard reached in chemical engineering at about 1950 shows that much progress has been made in comparison with 1925 (see Figure 1). This important... [Pg.260]

As a result, testing for TPMT activity before administering 6MP has been standard practice for some time. If poor TPMT activity is found, only 5-10% of the normal dose allows those patients to reach standard levels of the active components, whereas patients homozygous for the more active enzyme get up to four times the normal dose. Either an enzyme activity assay or a genotyping assay is run on a blood sample prior to dosing,... [Pg.93]

As a result, AES as an analytical method can be viewed to be sufficiently mature and the level of standardization reached now allows the preparation of standard operation procedures (SOPs) for its application. Thus, an integration of AES into practical quality management systems following ISO 17025 is possible and today there is a number... [Pg.4624]

Standard condition n. Standard condition is that reached by a specimen when it is in moisture equilibrium with a standard atmosphere. Standard condition is seldom realized in practice since laboratory atmospheres are continually fluctuating between narrow limits, and it is not practical to wait for the attainment of moisture equilibrium, which would require several days or more for tightly wound samples of high regain material. Practically, specimens are brought to moisture equilibrium in the standard atmosphere for testing as defined in these definitions. The term standard condition should not be used as a Syn the concept of standard atmosphere . [Pg.921]

The accreditation of a standard is an official act (signed by the Ministry of Industry in France). To prepare standards, governments have mandated private organizations which are responsible for continuously following the rules to reach a mciximum consensus. There is only one such organization per country. They are, moreover, grouped at the European and international levels. [Pg.295]

All these organizations have developed numerous working procedures, with very little difference between each other. These procedures seem at first heavy and cumbersome, but following them allows a consensus to be reached. Thus, for example, free access for all to the standardization commissions work is guaranteed, and the existence of lobbies is avoided. [Pg.296]

For sensitivity detection the standard defectometers were used. Relative sensitivity comparison at steel objects radiographic control by radiation with energy of 25 and 45 MeV shows that sensitivity minimum for 45 MeV energy is very displaced towards the big thickness and has not yet reached its minimal meaning at 500mm thickness. [Pg.515]

The sample frequency of the ADC (analogue to digital converter) should be 8 times higher than the test frequency (centre frequency of the spectrum). In dependence of the application, different ADC- boards are used. A standard board (20520) provides 8 bit resolution and up to 100 Msamples/s in single shot mode. For manual tests, up to 400 Msamples/s can be reached in the repetition mode. For scanning systems with high frequencies boards up to 400 Msamples/s (single shot) are available. [Pg.858]
