Overhead guards are designed to protect operators from falling loads such as boxes, bags, etc. It is not intended to protect an operator from a falling capacity load. In addition, the overhead guard must not be considered as a rollover bar. Do not place product on the overhead guard. [Pg.141]

Never overload raeks, bins, boxes, or pallets with product or materials. [Pg.141]

At railroad tracks, slowly cross at an angle so that the lift truck is not damaged and that the load is not affected. [Pg.141]

If parking near railroad tracks, keep at least 8 feet from the track. [Pg.141]

Fueling a vehicle with gasoline, diesel fuel, or propane must be done outdoors. Ensure that the proper OSHA and fire regulations have been followed. Observe all specific safety rules, including a no-smoking policy. [Pg.141]

In Fig. 13 is shown the 002 lattice images of an as-formed very thin VGCF. The innermost core diameter (ca. 20 nm as indicated by arrows) has two layers it is rather straight and appears to be the primary nanotube. The outer carbon layers, with diameters ca. 3-4 nm, are quite uniformly stacked parallel to the central core with 0.35 nm spacing. From the difference in structure as well as the special features in the mechanical strength (as in Fig. 7) it might appear possible that the two intrinsically different types of material... [Pg.7]

Fullcrenc black is of a similar constitution and secondary structure as normal carbon black, but with the important difference that its BSUs are composed of non-planar graphene layers. Additionally, the stacks arc not straight but curved, giving rise to a more disordered and less dense carbon material. The chemical reactivity is higher as the stability of nonplanar graphene layers is reduced. In addition, the irregular shape... [Pg.108]

Convection is usually preferred below the 1400 F (760 C) level. The big problem with radiation is its shadow problem because radiation travels in straight lines, making it difficult to heat stacked or loosely piled loads, granular materials such as fluidized beds, or to get to reach or wraparound configurations. Thus, in those cases, convection has to be the prime (or at least a fill-in) heat-delivery mechanism. Convection (sometimes combined with gas radiation, as in enhanced heating ), is often the best vehicle for improving productivity through better temperature uniformity. [Pg.246]

The use of SS-316 bipolar plates with multiple-parallel straight channels is very common in the fabrication of PEM fuel cell stack. A porous bipolar plate design to transport liquid water from the cell to the coolant stream is also considered (Wheeler et al., 2001). Reviews of bipolar plate design and materials are given by Ajersch et al. (2003) and Kumar and Reddy (2004). [Pg.429]
