Hamakawa [74] studied the selective oxidation of ethane to acetaldehyde in Au YSZ Ag solid electrolyte membrane reactor at 475°C. When oxygen was pumped to the Au electrode, the selectivities to acetaldehyde and CO2 were 45% and 55% respectively.
