Minocycline can also cause skin pigmentation and it is not clear in this last case what the interaction of amiodarone with minocycline was. 

Amiodarone can cause a cosmetically annoying bluish pigmentation of the skin (SEDA-15,171) (SEDA-22,207) (SEDA-23,199) (193). 

A 70-year-old man developed grey-blue pigmentation on sun-exposed areas of his skin after taking amiodarone for 10 years and minocycline for 4 years (197). 

Skin Skin photosensitivity and blue-grey pigmentation are rarely seen adverse effects of amiodarone which are mainly reported in elderly patients [18]. 

Eight further cases of cutaneous pigmentation from amiodarone have been reported (105 -) accounts have appeared of both light and electron microscopic appearances in the condition (106, 107). A skin reaction not previously reported with amiodarone has occurred in one patient typical iododeima developed in a woman who had taken the drug for 2 years (108 -).
