Scroll roller

Lubrication. The slip that readily occurs between layers of graphite planes only partially explains graphite s dry lubricating properties. A suitably adsorbed film such as water must also be present without it graphite ceases to lubricate and may, though rarely does, become abrasive (16). Scrolls (roUed-up layers 1—5 nm) may play a part in the lubricity of graphite by acting as rollers between the planar layers. 

PP/EPDM TPV for automotive applications include rack and pinion bellows, air ducts, underhood tubing and connector, underhood hose, plugs, bumpers, grommets, prop rod shaft cover, radiator air deflector, air bag door covers and skins, grips, seals, mats and cupholders, windshield wiper motor cover, fuel line hose, suspension bellows, and weatherseals. EPDM/PP TPV was also used for construction such as door sweep, expansion joints, and window and door seals. Electronic applications include scroll wheel, printer roller, scanner lid, grip, access panel door, speaker surrounds, and holders and bumpers. Also, TPVs are widely used in business machines, power tools, motor mounts, and many other fields. 

The manipulator (Figs. 1 and 8) consists of a set of cast iron, mild steel and titanium links assembled together as a single chain and wound onto a drum in the main containment. The links are driven on and off the drun and hence up and down the mast by a scroll drive which operates on rollers on each link. The serving shoe angle controls the azimuth of the extended links, whilst the whole manipulator rotates thus allowing the knuckle end to be positioned at any desired position. 

Bail-type skips and most uni-body skips use fixed dump scroll tracks to initiate skip discharge. These tracks are moimted to the headframe structure and the skip travels into them by interfacing with rollers on the skip. The speed at which this occurs is approximately 0.25 meters per second. The interface between the scroll track opening and the dump roller on the skip requires accurate ahgnment and this alignment is influenced by the operating clearance...
