Sales performance design

The primary benefit of VMEA is that the systematic preparation of multiplicity information and the graphic presentation of the development of variants can support the required communication between the units involved in VMEA marketing/sales, development/design, work preparation/production and budgeting/controUing. Thus, the diversity of variants is known for future products and unneeded reserves concerning performance and flexibility of the equipment can be avoided.

However, batch reactors are seldom employed on an industrial scale for gas phase reactions. A field operator exposure study was designed to accommodate the chemical properties and the use pattern involved in the treatment of potato crops for protection against the Colorado potato beetle. Fifteen farmworkers experienced in the use of tractor-drawn sprayers for application of crop protection materials to crops were selected. All were adult males. To avoid production of a large quantity of treated potato crop prior to registration of the product for sale, the trials were performed on stubble fields after harvest of winter wheat crops in a potato-growing area of southern Ontario. This allowed the use of typical farm spray equipment and a typical duration of exposure for a complete shift of work. 

To counteract the typical misoneism of the world food industry, it is necessary to resort to appropriate scaling-up exercises in pilot- or industrial-plant scale to assess precisely the membrane process performance and reliability, as well as its economical feasibility. There are, however, a number of problems that have undoubtedly limited growth in ED membrane sales, like membrane-fouling problems, design considerations, cleanability, investment and membrane replacement costs, and competing technologies, such as NF and IER. 

Patents are granted only for inventions in machines, methods, manufactures, compositions of matter, designs, and asexually produced plants. An invention, to be patent-able, must be novel, useful, and unobvious. The requirement of novelty means that something new is disclosed. Novelty exists if the invention has not been described in a publication or patent anywhere in the world, or if there has been no prior public use or sale in this country. The requirement of utility means the performance of some beneficial function, though only crudely. The requirement for unobviousness means that the subject matter would not be obvious to a skilled worker, if he had available to him all prior knowledge. All three requirements are essential, and all three must coexist. 

In summary, the early ink formulations worked well as they did have good performance characteristics with regards to end user properties (dry time, adhesion, humidity tolerance, etc). But a very significant factor is that they performed very robustly in the printer, due to the fact that the printer was designed around the formulation characteristics. When an ink works well in the field, customers, service people and sales people are all confident to use it.
