Safe time

Assume the safe time to be 5.2 seconds (considering a safety factor of nearly 15%)...

Figures 6.7 and 6.8 are taken from Jann (1989) and were prepared to assess quickly the impact of various outside challenges on safe time by selecting the appropriate infiltration rate or air changes per hour (ACH) for the haven, and safe inside concentration. It must be noted that wind speed has not been accounted for in these curves. Higher wind speeds will cause high ACH for most buildings, thereby reducing the safe time for the haven.

Sewage, trash, and other waste (e.g., solids, liquids, or gaseous by-products from manufacturing) in and from the building and immediate premises should be disposed of in a safe, timely, and sanitary manner.

Now with the help of Fig. IX/4.2.2-1, an attempt will be made to see how process safe time is determined. When an untoward incident occurs after a small gap of time, alarm appears with the help of sensor, alarm logic, and HMI. The small gap told here is sensor detection time and reaction time of alarm logic and HMI. After appearance of alarm in HMI there will be some time for operator s detection, diagnosis, and response as shown in Fig. IX/4.2.2-1. Now after operator responds actual thing to happen there will be reaction time, which comprises of process dead band and system reaction time. Sum total of operator action time and reaction time will be minimum necessary for any corrective action to happen. So, if hazardous event occurs after these time from T = 0, then system will be safe. Thus, process safe time wiU be as shown in Fig. IX/4.2.2-1. 

Traditionally, surgical training has been an apprenticeship model. The assumption was that the more time you spent under the tutelage of a master, the better you were trained. There have not been validated models to test technical ability. The advent of MAS and the need to train residents in a safe, time-efficient manner has led to the development of validated tools in the... 

In this paper the most common injuries in surfing were approached through the hterature review and how to prevent these injuries using the safety equipments, such as, how to prevent surfing injuries in advance and thus spend more safely time on the waves. 

Communication systems should provide data. Without a safe time-stamp, which considers the individual age of the data, or in case of a sequence and event recording or detection, the first event could not be determined.
