Making the programs easy to use is achieved in a number of ways  

This section is to introduce some of the words used in computing and the components they refer to. Although the computer can mostly be treated as a black box it is often helpful to be able to have a general idea about what is happening and to know what some of the terms mean. 

The computer and its peripherals are often called HARDWARE . The computer can be considered as being made up of 4 units  

The CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU) decodes and executes the instructions of a computer program. It has circuits that can perform arithmetic and logical operations, e.g., add two numbers or compare them for equality. 

The KEYBOARD is used for communication between the user of the computer and the program.
