Research phenomenological

It is necessary to drive forward research on the effectiveness of the biodynamic preparations in order to provide sound practical recommendations for the frequency and timing of their use. However, discussions are required to decide whether it makes sense to assess the effect of individual biodynamic practices in isolation from the overall method, as these practices were proposed as part of a comprehensive farming system (Steiner 2004), the impulse of which is based, in particular, on a holistic understanding of agricultural processes. A complex, holistic, systemic form of science would be appropriate to biodynamic farming (Baars 2002), but has not yet been realised (Lockeretz 2000). It is unclear what would constitute holistic research. Phenomenological descriptions of the overall context are without doubt a key element that has been developed in much detail in the context of anthroposophic research over the past 80 years (Bockemtlhl 1992). In previous researches it was shown that new phenomenological models are available to approximation any analytical peaks. These models can be used for modelling analytical experiments.

Thus Chapter 2 discusses the phenomenology and basic concepts of classical promotion, a subject quite familiar to catalysis and surface science researchers and graduate students, at a level which should be comfortable to electrochemists, solid state ionics and chemical reaction engineering researchers.

The issues that, according to these authors, should be included in research conducted in order to reach an understanding of the holistic nature of culture-bound syndromes are as follows identifying the nature of the phenomenon, situating the syndrome within the social context, the relation between the syndrome and the psychiatric disorders included in current classifications, and the social and psychiatric history of the syndrome. By following these steps it will be possible to correctly identify the phenomenology and subtypes of the syndrome, the social characteristics of the people who suffer from it and the risk factors, as well as to study the relation with other psychiatric disorders and even other syndromes that are specific to other cultures. 

Examples of a negative influence of the use of scCOa are also known [ 194]. This shows that the phenomenology of such reactions in SCCO2 is not yet well understood and that supplementary research data are needed. 

The heterogeneous batch conversion system illustrated in Figure 31G is phenomenologically even more complex than the homogeneous batch conversion system. Heterogeneous batch conversion is found in small-scale applications, for example wood stoves. Research activity is also very high in this area [43,44]. The big problems are gaseous pollutants in the emissions and the low efficiency of the stoves. 

This differentiated phenomenology on the micro and macro-scale call for a differentiation of all key quantities. For example, the ignition rate needs to be divided into an microscopic ignition rate and a macroscopic ignition rate. The ignition rate that several authors doing research on fuel beds refer to in the literature is the macroscopic ignition rate [10,12,33]. 

The char combustion phenomenology has been reviewed by many researchers [11,26,73]. It is a very complex process and is usually divided into three char combustion regimes, namely (I), (II) and (III) [23,54,74,75]. The combustion regimes are consequences of the initial size and temperature of the char particle, see Figure 55.

All formulas mentioned above are fulfilled for any phenomenological photoconduction model. Microscopic description needs detailed research of the quantum yield, parameters of the generation, recombination and transport processes. 

In the previous section, the phenomenological description of Brownian motion was presented. The Langevin analysis leads to a velocity autocorrelation function which decays exponentially with time. This is characteristic of a Markovian process, as Doobs has shown (see ref. 490). Since it is known heyond question that the velocity autocorrelation function is far from such an exponential function, the effect that the solvent structure has on the progress of a chemical reaction cannot be assessed very reliably by means of phenomenological Langevin description. Since the velocity of a solute is correlated with its velocity a while before, a description which fails to consider solute and solvent velocities can hardly be satisfactory. Necessarily, the analysis requires a modification of the Langevin or Fokker—Plank description. In this section, some comments are made on this new and exciting area of research.
