Remote injection

Temperature-dependent injection was attributed to a competitive population of low-lying state [thought to be a ligand field (LF) state] and the remote injection process. Regardless of the mechanism, the results demonstrate that sensitized electrodes can be fabricated for temperature-sensing applications.

This process was demonstrated as well as a novel remote injection from the osmium MLCT excited state. 

If the bleeding is located on a mural artery or its tributaries, then we have more options (Table 5.2). The mucosal area supplied by a mural artery is delimited. Branches from adjacent mural arteries contribute to a more or less extended dual supply. Therefore, ischemic complications after embolization in the mural tree are assessable. Flow directed remote injection of particulates or even glue is a valid technique if the rupture site cannot be reached.

Piping for snuffing steam injection into a heater firebox is required to help put out a fire if a tube mpture occurs. The snuffing steam isolation valve needs to be located at an accessible spot remote from the heater. Also, a remote fuel shutoff valve should be located adjacent to the snuffing steam valve so that both valves can be accessed quickly in case of fire. 

Flare noise (roar of combustion) is the most serious because it is elevated and the sound carries. The flare can be located at a remote distance from the operating unit or surrounding community. Noise of steam injection into the burner can be reduced by using multiple no22les. Furnace noise from air intake, fuel systems, and combustion blower forced draft/induced draft (FD/ID) fans can be reduced by acoustics. The plot plan should be evaluated for noise generation and to find the means of alleviating or moving noise to a less sensitive area. 

Both the Power Industry and the petrochemical industries use the aircraft-type turbine. The Power Industry uses these units in a combined cycle mode for power generation especially in remote areas where the power requirements are less than 100 MW. The petrochemical industry uses these types of turbines on offshore platforms especially for gas re-injection, and as power plants for these offshore platforms, mostly due to their compactness and the ability to be easily replaced and then sent out to be repaired. The aeroderivative gas turbine also is used widely by gas transmission companies and petrochemical plants, especially for many variable speed mechanical drives. Neuroanatomists have taken advantage of the phenomenon of fast retrograde transport to locate remote nerve cell bodies in the CNS of an experimental animal that are connected to an identified axonal fiber tract whose origin is uncertain. The tracer material [purified horseradish peroxidase (HRP) enzyme] is injected in the region of the axon terminals, where it is taken up by endocytosis and then is carried by retrograde axonal transport over a period of several hours to days back to the nerve cell body. The animal is sacrificed, and the enzyme tracer is localized by staining thin sections of the brain for peroxidase activity.

If solute concentrations are decreased, the remote possibility exists that wastes would migrate through the confining layer. For this to occur, solute concentrations above the confining layer would have to be higher than those in the injection zone, and movement, in any event, would be very slow. As USDWs have salinities less than 10,000 mg/L, compared with typical salinities in injection zones of 20,000 to 70,000 mg/L, even if this process were to occur it would cause migration only to overlying aquifers that are not USDWs. 

The results from irradiation of AQ-DNA(l) show conclusively that a radical cation introduced at one site, Gi at the 3/-terminus of the complementary strand in this case, can migrate through duplex DNA and cause reaction at remote sites. Hardware requirements — The system controller responsible for synchronizing the events is defined as LC System 1. It requires at least two time event outputs to trigger the injection of LC System 2 and start MS data collection. If MS fails, the injection of LC System 1 should be inhibited. Autosampler with ready-in, alarm-in, and stop inputs indicate capability to be stopped remotely. The autosampler of LC System 2 must be able to prepare a sample before the run from LC System 1 is finished and hold the sample in the injector loop until an injection signal is received. A manual injection input devices indicates that the autosampler can perform the required function. 

Control of site equipment is always important for safety and operational concerns. Many sites are remote or not staffed on a daily basis. Remediation equipment should be fitted with failsafe systems to shut down the system in the event of failure, fire, or unusual conditions (such as injection well plugging). Alarm systems should be included, which may be as simple as illuminating a warning hght, or as complex as a teleconnection to a remote computer station or telephone alert to the operator s residence. Many commercial companies offer remote monitoring equipment. 

The NORIT Porta-Powdered Activated Carbon (Porta-PAC) dry injection system pneumatically conveys an adjustable amount of powdered activated carbon (PAC) from bulk bags into the flue gas streams of incinerators for mercury and dioxin emission reductions. PAC is metered using a volumetric feeder into a pneumatic eductor where moving air transfers the carbon to the injection point. A series of interlocks control the operation of the unit and allow local or remote operation and monitoring of the unit. This technology is commercially available. All information is from the vendor and has not been independently verified.
