Bruce Ames and Lois Swirsky Gold present a contrary review in Too many rodent carcinogens mitogenesis increases mutagenesis (Science, Volume 249, 31 August, 1990, pp 970-1). 

David Keith Another reason 1 am not that worried about hydrogen storage involves where in the transport infrastructure you would first introduce hydrogen. The conventional view, of course, is in personal automobiles. Our view at Carnegie Mellon is different. We suggest a focus on heavy transport systems, such as ships, heavy trucks, and rail.
