Quotation citing source

Quote—copy the text you want to use in your paper word-for-word and surround it with quotation marks. Then, cite the source in one of the ways described below. Be careful You don t want your entire paper to be long quotations from other sources. Use quotations sparingly and only when they really add to your paper. 

Whitman s rept described several cases where laboratory prepn of ammoniacal Ag salt solns led to explns. In addn, quotations from the literature sources demonstrate the variety of warnings (or lack of the same) that have been given for Ag salt-ammonia systems. A review of these publications reveals a host of misstatements such as "After evaluation of the various lamps, none could be declared superior to others in terms of variability or operating conditions" (30) or "Although acceptable lamps may have different SPDs, these differences should not effect the yes/no outcome of the testing procedure..(30), the previously cited quotation from Beaumont (3) or the statement of Wooton that "If a material is going to be exposed to different light sources it is unlikely that a single test will provide sufficient data to establish the stability of a material to all sources (32)."... 

If the material you are citing contains a passage quoted from another source, indicate the use of the quotation in the parentheses.
