A new method, viz. the recrystallization of MCM-41 impregnated metal complex in the synthesis system of zeolite Y, has been developed to immobilize the guest complex in zeolite host. In this way, a series of FeL/Y composites (with L=phenanthroline (phen), 8-quinolinol (Qx), salicylic acid (SA)) have been prepared.
