Howard [772] has been amongst the first to show the usefulness of conventional SEC for polymer/additive systems. Coupek el al. [773] have also reported results with this technique in an early stage their work was limited to synthetic mixtures of additives. The use of open-column SEC in the analysis of plastics additives has been reported [774], Qualitative analysis of additives has been performed by stopped-flow SEC with IR detection [775]. Polypropylene oligomers were isolated from a PP/(Irganox 1010, Irgafos 168, DBS) matrix by dissolution (toluene)/precipitation (methanol) and Soxhlet... 

Quantitative and/or qualitative XRPD methods have been reported to determine the polymorphic content of clopidogrel bisulfate samples, and these have been summarized in Table 2.3. Koradia et al. [16] reported the qualitative analysis of clopidogrel bisulfate in both active pharmaceutical ingredients and tablet dosage forms. Based on the interplanar distances (d-spacing) associated with each polymorph, it was concluded that the molecular packing in Form-I was more dense than that of Form-II, indicating that Form-II would be less stable relative to Form-I. This result was similar with that reported by Bousquet [9]. 

Finally, AMDIS displays on the PC screen its Result Window, which contains - only for chemicals defined as detected - the chemical name, retention time, RI, and some additional QA (Qualitative Analysis) parameters. The operator will consider the run as valid only if HCB was detected with QA parameters fulfilling the acceptance criteria. There are other QA parameters that are reported by AMDIS after each run. They are peak width, peak tailing, solvent tailing, total ion background, and background for ion 207. Even in blinded mode when chromatogram is not visible, the values of these parameters allow operator to assess the quality of GC system, accept or reject the particular run, or take proper preventive action (bake or change the column or maintain injection system). 

Cancalon and Klingman [216] reported that having used the procedure described above for nanomole amounts of amino acids they did not obtain satisfactory results, and suggested the use of dichloromethane in n-butanol—3.5 N HC1 (1 9) and 5 min in an ultrasonic bath. The influence of the presence of salts on the yield and the reliability of the results of GC analysis was also evaluated [217] the presence of inorganic salts in an amount comparable to the total weight of amino acids has no significant influence on qualitative analysis, but in some instances it can interfere in quantitative determinations.

At the end of each day, all the scans were subjected to qualitative analysis using the vendor s software. On pure culture, the growth of Prevotella ruminicola was stimulated by the addition of yucca extract (Wallace et al. 1994). In the in vitro fermentation using cattle rumen, a significant increase of Prevotella ruminicola due to the addition of S. rarak saponin extract was also reported (Suharti et al. 2010) and this result confirmed a previous qualitative analysis by DGGE (Suharti 2010). 

The GC-AED technique should be particularly helpful for the localization of metabolites when the parent drug contains one of the above-mentioned atoms, or to detect molecules, which are derivatized with appropriate reagents containing one of these characteristic atoms. To our knowledge, no results on the qualitative analysis of anesthetics have been reported using GC-AED. 

Full interpretative reports which present the factual results of the investigation together with a detailed assessment of the ground conditions, including a geotechnical model supported by sections, plans and an analysis of the geotechnical properties of the materials which have been encountered and a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the potential resources. 

Qualitative results of checklist analyses vary, but generally the analysis produces the answers yes, no, not applicable, or needs more information. The checklist is included in the PrHA report to summarize the noted deficiencies. Understanding these deficiencies leads to sa fety improvement alternatives for consideration, and to identified hazards with suggested actions. Also, the usefulness of IR analysis of dissolved polymer/additive matrices is thus quite restricted. When the specific additive used is known when only qualitative results are required and when the polymer matrix is appropriate, FUR can provide a much easier, faster alternative to NMR spectroscopy. A rare example of additive analysis in dissolution by means of infrared has been reported for PE/oleamide [43].
