Qualified guess

In some cases it is completely impossible to prepare control samples for the nse in X-charts. So we have only the second component from the last example. The long-term component that takes into acconnt changes between series has to be estimated differently. If we don t have other data, the last possibihty is a qualified guess based on the experience of the analyst. In the table an example is shown...

First, initial guesses for the free component concentrations [X, [V] and [Z are made. Naturally, the better the initial guesses the faster and more robustly the correct solution is computed. As it turns out, in equilibrium calculations as described here, the qualify of the initial guesses is often not crucial convergence is fast even for guesses that are several orders of magnitude away from the correct values. 

Design temperatures, operator guesses, and actual operating temperature differentials almost never correspond. Representatives should always carry a pocket thermometer with them (accurate to 0.2°F/0.rC) and carry out an actual measurement during the survey. A difference of 1.0°C between actual and estimated temperatures can eventually produce a considerable difference in estimated annual chemical costs. The actual production of the compound or set of compounds may ultimately be carried out by a different person. At first blush, one might guess that the person who proposed the compound(s) for the particular activities is the one who conceived the invention and the chemists synthesizing the desired compounds were technical support providing the actual reduction... 

The parameter estimation first uses the objective function based on the isochemical potential criterion because this does not require qualified initial guesses of the parameters and converges quickly. Then, using these approximate values as the initial guesses, the objective function stated in terms of compositions is used. 

You take the best of those who apply. A lot of people in theory are from abroad. I can only guess the reason. Probably it s easier to teach math and physics with little equipment than it is to teach experimental chemistry. On the average, the people applying from abroad are extremely well trained in math and physics, and probably extremely well qualified. Foreign students here are very good. If they weren t good, they wouldn t be admitted.

You hope to eventually pass the City Guilds Parts 2 and 3 qualifications, take your AM2 Practical Assessment and become a qualified electrician. Believe me, I do wish you well, because you are the future of the electrotechnical industry. 

Without the knowledge of the composition of the intermediates, most of the description of the electrode reaction mechanism is merely a guess, even if qualified, as regards the chemical identity of individual products and intermediates. This drawback was early realized and led to an increased effort to couple the electrochemical techniques with other methods which would make it possible to identify independently various intermediates and products formed in the course of electrode process. These attempts seem to underlay the development of molecular electrochemistry into its present shape and represent one of the major driving forces of its further development.
