PZT lead zirconate

PZT (lead zirconate titanate) and PLZT (lead lanthanum zirconate titanate) combine ferroelectic, optical, and electronic properties and are used in optoelectronic and piezoelectric devices. Powders for hot pressing produced by CVD are being investigated.

PZP. A zircon refractory ramming mix made by Savoie Refractaire, France. PZT. Lead zirconate-titanate, Pb(Zr,Ti)03 used as a ceramic component in piezoelectric transducers. Trade-name of Vernitron Ltd. 

Both the installed cantilever and the flat square of the probe were inclined to the scanning plane of the PZT (lead zirconate titanate) scanner. To decrease this misalignment angle and to increase the contact area, the specimen was also inclined, almost parallel to the flat area of the probe (fig. 2.5). The misalignment angle was kept at 2°-3°, however, as the specimen and the square tip were parallel, the sensitivity of the AFM was significantly decreased.
