Even if relatively new, HF FIFFF has been used to separate supramicrometer particles, proteins, water-soluble polymers, and synthetic organic-soluble polymers. Particle separation in HF FIFFF has recently been improved, reaching the level of efficiency normally achieved by conventional, rectangular FIFFF channels.
