Binder (23) offers their KBF Series of test chambers, with ICH compliant lighting, for photostability testing. Their lamps are mounted vertically, in the door, behind a protective panel. All units also have an inner glass door(s). The cabinets have proprietary spherical UV and VIS detectors.

Each circuit should be clearly identified and labeled to correspond to a circuit breaker in a service panel. Bullet-proof vests are typically made from multiple layers of ballistic material assembled into a protective panel which is then inserted into a carrier made of conventional fabric such as nylon or cotton (Cichocka et al, 2009 Maillet et ai, 2009), The protective panel may be permanently sewn into the c arrier or it may be removable. Although the finished product looks relatively simple in construction, the protective panel is very complex. 

A ballistic panel can be made from a single ballistic material or from two or more materials in combination. Where more than one ballistic fibre is used, the vest is often referred to as a hybrid . The location and number of layers of each material within the multiple-layer protective panel ate critical to the overall performance of the panel. If a manufacturer uses insufficient ballistic material, the body armour will offer insufficient protection. It is thus indispensable that sufficient material and a suitable margin of safety be incorporated into well-designed, properly manufactured body armour (McConnell, 2006). 

Leggings and Leg Protection There are leg protective panels and chaps for loggers and others who work with chainsaws, piked poles or axes. The protection may also cover the sides and tops of feet and sides of the lower legs. The fabrics may have metal mesh, ballistic nylon or other materials. 

Examples of composite materials and hybrid structures having unique cut resistance and energy absorption properties in protective clothing and personal protection equipment (helmet, knee protection panel, gloves, protection curtains, protection tent and shield, etc.) are discussed in this section. 

Hard or soft armour does not necessarily have to be worn. Protective panels can be provided in vehicles and aircraft to protect drivers, pilots and passengers.
