Project and Process Objectives

The project objectives should be defined as early as possible during the project life cycle. Objectives are a description of the outcomes (results) expected from the project which in most cases can be easily defined at the start of the woik, although defining objectives also means periodically reviewing the project s overall objectives and the objectives of each project phase. 

Supply chain objectives can be defined in different ways - in terms of customer service, time compression, and cost reductions - but in each process it is vitally important to prioritize these goals in order to identify the most critical ones. 

Proposition 1 In project as well as process management, multiple goals can exist at the same time. Most importantly, it is necessary to attribute a level of priority to each of these goals in order to define management priorities. Prioritizing goals is of critical importance to the effective analysis of risks.
