Processes medium-/large-size

Continuum solvent methods considered here range from sophisticated QM versions addressed to treating problems requiring a high level of theory, as some molecular observables or some chemical and physical processes involving several electronic states, to semiempirical formulations addressed to the description of simple properties for systems of medium-large size, and with extension to classical C/RF formulations addressed to application to very large systems. [Pg.2558]

This processing method allows the building of very large size tanks, cisterns, tubing, geomembranes etc. from prototypes up to medium output. [Pg.25]

Is the process scalable so that it can address small, medium, and large munition finds Yes. Three sizes appear to provide appropriate capability for small, medium, and large quantities. All are transportable to the site. Yes. There are two DAVINCH sizes available and multiple units can be deployed. Large size (70 tons) of smaller DAVINCH (DV45) may make it impractical for small quantity finds, however. Yes. Three detonation chamber sizes are available and several units can be used together to meet throughput requirements. The EDS seems appropriate for small or medium caches. At Pine Bluff Non-Stockpile Facility, several EDSs could have destroyed ca. 1,000 munitions in an acceptable time period. [Pg.111]

Finally, from an economic point of view, methanolysis is a very capital-intensive process, and hence it is economically interesting only for large productions. This is not the case for glycolysis, which can also be profitable for small and medium plants. This is the reason for the large size of most methanolysis plants, with capacities up to 100000 tonnes/year. No reliable data are yet available on the economics of the hydrolytic process. [Pg.45]

Very small pumps, in-line or vertical pumps, are usually adjacent to their suction vessel. With many pumps taking suction from the same vessel (a crude fractionator, for example), adjacent pump location is possible with only four or six pumps. For a great number of medium or large-sized pumps, road access must be provided. It is advantageous and economical to have a common road to all the pumps in the plant for convenient operation and maintenance. Too many dead-end access roads between process equipment lengthen the yard bank. [Pg.198]
