Pressure oxygen recovery

If only operated during low off-peak rate times would have low ann load factor need more expensive H2 storage Assume Hydrogn Systems Electrolysis at 150 psig pressure, Norsk Hydro Stuard systems are low pressure Assumed oxygen recovery for by-product sales with large central plant case, but only minor economic impact... [Pg.197]

Wurzburg (1996) reported complete recovery among 36 workers with inhalation exposure to hydrogen cyanide who were treated with pressure oxygen resuscitation and/or the administration of amyl nitrate by inhalation. One-third of the workers were unconscious and one was convulsing at the time treatment was initiated. [Pg.182]

Rudelstorfer, 1976 Yang, 1987). In the Polybed PSA, typically 9 to 10 beds are used. This has been practiced for hydrogen purification, where product recovery is important. For air separation, however, oxygen recovery is not as important (versus increased costs from more beds), and no polybed PSA is used. In some cases, the EQ step is accomplished by connecting the CD effluent to the mid-point of another bed that is to be re-pressurized. This can also alleviate the problem with the reversed concentration profile. [Pg.35]

Environmental Impact. The volume of waste remover from these products is remarkably increased when compared to methylene chloride, petroleum, and oxygenate removers, since both /V-methy1pyrro1idinone and dibasic esters have low vapor pressures. Recovery of the remover after use is difficult because the finish is tesolubili2ed by the remover. A representative dibasic ester formula appears below for a thickened water rinse finish remover. [Pg.552]
