Preparation scar prevention

Hyaluronic acid succinylate, (II), was prepared by Rivarossa [2] by reacting succinic anhydride with sodium hyaluronate and the material used in either venous and arterial vascular anastomoses. After the procedure, the patient is advised to use water-based lotion creams and potent sunscreens. The erythema gradually resolves over about 2-month period. During this time, makeup foundation is encouraged. In dark skin patients (Fitzpatrick skin type 3 or 4), the application of Kligman preparation is recommended to prevent reactive hyperpigmentation. In after-procedural flare-ups, minocycline or systemic isotretinoin are prescribed immediately to avoid new scars creation. 

SEM analysis is used to observe the worn surface of the steel ball after the friction test under the lubrication of LP with the as-prepared metal nanoparticles these results are presented in Figure 5.8 [18, 19]. It can be observed that all wear scar surfaces are relatively smooth and the rubbed traces are shallow. The results imply that these metal nanoparticles can melt and form instantaneous metallic films between rubbing surfaces, which prevents direct contact of the rubbing surfaces, and they exhibit good lubricating properties.
