The dichlorobenzenes are used as moth repellants, insecticides, miticides, fumigants, disinfectants, space and air deodorizers, to prevent breakup of stoneware and molding, for molding resins and surface coatings. They are also used as chemical intermediates, for example, in the manufacture of polyphenyl sulfide. These are available as mothballs, flakes, cake, crystals. [Pg.816]

The determination of traces of polar compounds is a very important application of adsorption capillary columns. For example, gas chromatographic analysis of hydrogen sulfide is often performed on polymer adsorbents (for example, Porapak Q, N or QS [39-44]).
