Polyolefins, additives Antistatic agents

Most plastics e.g. polyolefins and polystyrenes and their derivatives such as ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) and SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile) are supplied by the manufacturers in ready-to-use form with most of the above-mentioned stabilizers or simply need to be additionally stabilized with other additives, e.g. antistatic agents and HALS stabilizers, as required. On the other hand, in the case of other materials (e.g. PVC) it is the end user who adds the additives, pigments or preparations. This is normally done on fluid or high-speed mixers, although in the past gravity mixers or tumble mixers were also used. The mixture is then homogenized on mixing rolls, kneaders, planetary extruders or twin-screw kneaders and further processed. 

Commercial polyolefins often contain additives such as colorants, flame retardants, antioxidants, light stabilizers, nucleating agents, antistatic agents, lubricants (microcrystalline waxes, hydrocarbon waxes, stearic acid, and metal stearates), and so on. These additives aid the processing and fabrication of products from polyolefins. Fationic 1042 Is used as an additive to polyolefins, sty-renics, PVC, TPB s and TPO s. The product can be used as an antistatic agent, an internally coagiounded mold release additive, a flow modifier, and an internal lubricant. It is specifically designed for use in the plastics industry by polymer producers, compounders, and concentrate manufacturers. 

Use Slip additives for PVC and polyolefin resin films, antistatic and antifogging agent for clear plastic wraps, and as internal lubricants. 

U V fluorescent sulfur detection and chemiluminescent nitrogen methods have been developed for total sulfur only, nitrogen only or simultaneous sul-fur/nitrogen analysis. These systems provide quick automated analysis to estimate the type and amount of sulfur and nitrogen-containing additives present in a polyolefin sample, i.e. slip agents, antistatics. 

Antioxidants, antistats, fillers, flame retardants, UV screeners, slip agents, metal deactivators, whiteners, pigments, and dye receptors are added to polyolefin powder, chips, or granules prior to fiber manufacture. These additives help to overcome fiber sensitivity to heat, UV radiation, and flame and to improve some other properties. In the melt-in-melt system, PP fiberforming polymers can be mixed with these additives to achieve specific formulations.
