Wondosterols A-C are steroidal glycosides obtained from an association of two sponges, Jaspis wondoensis and Poecillastra wondoensis, interwoven into one another and difficult to separate, found on the Korean coasts at a depth of 15 m (Ryu et al, 1999). Another association of this kind had already been reported in Korea with the pair Jaspis sp. and Poecillastra wondoensis (Sim, 1998). Most of these compounds are cytotoxic and antifimgal but some of them, such as eryloside F, possess other properties, in particular that of being a platelet antiaggregant. 

Chatancin is an antagonist of platelet-activating factor (PAP) (see Chapters 6, 16, and 19), and has platelet antiaggregation activity (IC50 2.2 pM).
