Plants loosening

Cover plants with horticultural fleece alternatively, plant a little later in the year. 

An open question is whether auxin stimulates wall loosening by acting at the level of gene transcription. With an eye to the Sun and Moon s disposition, we gather some fresh Rosemary, chop it finely and place it into a flask with a little water to make paste. We let it stand awhile to loosen up, then steam is injected into the herb paste and the hot vapors arising are captured in a cooling condenser. The use of soil tillage equipment before planting depends on the results of the soil tests. If there are layers in the soil which are difficult for the roots of the fruit trees to penetrate, the soil needs to be loosened and then enriched with green manure. The depth of tillage is critical for successful loosening of the soil and should be only slightly (about 5 cm)... 

Deep loosening of compacted soils is advisable only if deep-rooting green manure plants are sown afterwards. The roots grow through the layers of soil that have been broken up and thus prevent recompaction of the soil.

Through the centuries man has used pectic enzymes produced by microorganisms in natural fermentations to modify plant tissue to produce more useful products. One of the oldest fermentations is the process of retting, in which textile fibers, such as flax, hemp, and jute are loosened from their plant stems. Clostridium felsineum, one of the organisms involved in anaerobic retting, produced endopolygalacturonase and endopolygalacturonate lyase but not pectinesterase 178, 179).
